Let’s be honest. Losing the presidency to DJT again sucks. Knowing many of the people you share a country with support him is even worse. Soon we will have to come to grips with another four years with Trump at the helm and steel ourselves against whatever is oncoming; so let’s take solace in the fact that CT is still blue and enjoy the down ballot wins we had last night.

Senator Chris Murphy [D] wins reelection to third term
Incumbent Jahana Hayes [D] wins against challenger George Logan [R] in race targeted by Republican National Committee
Incumbent Joe Courtney [D] wins 10th term in congress against challenger Mike France [R]
CT Senate
Martha Marx [D] holds off challenger Shaun Mastroianni [R] in 20th Senate District
Cathy Osten expected to clinch reelection in 19th district
CT House
Aundré Bumgardner wins 3rd term in 41st CT house district
Chris Conley [D] elected to 4th term in 40th district
Anthony Nolan [D] elected to 4th term in 39th district
Nick Gauthier [D] wins in 38th district against four term incumbent Kathleen McCarty [R]
Nick Menapace [D] wins by razor thin margin against incumbent Holly Cheeseman [R] in 37th CT house district
